Your tasks at a glance Complete preoperative and postoperative measurements, offering clear explanations to patients throughout the process.Review imaging maps to validate their accuracy.Maintain knowledge of procedures and technologies available in the clinic.Provide outstanding customer service and patient care.Support the organization’s Risk Management program by identifying and promptly reporting patient safety concerns, incidents, or potential risks to clinic management, to assist in the organization’s overall efforts to identify, report, and mitigate risks. A clear view of your assets Graduate of a Bachelor’s program in science (BSc), an Opticianry program (license not required), Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT), or Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT).Comfortable with computers, technology, and Microsoft 365 (knowledge of EMR systems is an asset).Motivated to learn how to use various diagnostic and testing tools.Experience in an eye‑care environment is an asset.Required: Can travel for work/training between our three LASIK MD clinics in the region: Ottawa, Ottawa West & Gatineau.Required: Excellent communication skills; speak English and French – advanced/intermediate level of French required for interactions with French‑speaking patients.Schedule: Flexible work availability Monday to Friday (8:00 am‑4:00 pm), with occasional Saturdays & Sundays on rotation.
