POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineering co-op student to join our Electrical Diagnostic Enhancement team. In this role, you will support the development of innovative diagnostic strategies and contribute to projects that improve vehicle troubleshooting and system performance. Working closely with the Electrical Engineering and Smart Bus Technology teams, you will gain hands‑on experience in vehicle diagnostics, control systems, and electrical design within a collaborative engineering environment. Inclusive workplace culture that values and empowers team members. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Support diagnostic development activities for transit and coach vehicle platforms. Assist with data analysis, troubleshooting, and validation of electrical systems. Contribute to testing and verification of diagnostic strategies and control logic. Participate in design reviews, documentation updates, and system evaluations. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Production, Quality Assurance, and Customer Service. Assist in identifying system‑level diagnostic gaps and proposing improvements. Support prototype builds and validation testing of new diagnostic features. WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: Currently enrolled in a recognized post‑secondary engineering program and eligible for co‑op placement. Experience with or interest in CAN networking, J1939, or Ethernet communication protocols is an asset. Strong communication and organizational skills. Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with design software (e.g., Unigraphics/Siemens NX, AutoCAD) is an asset. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
