Base Pay Range CA$80,000.00/yr – CA$110,000.00/yr Sector: Water & Wastewater Infrastructure Construction Assistant Project Manager – Responsibilities Assist estimating team in preparing tenders, soliciting bids, reviewing plans and specs, suggesting construction methods and techniques, and evaluating bids on tender closing day. Provide feedback to management and estimators on subcontractor performance as part of vendor reviews. Act as liaison between site and office, Company, Customer, and Consultants. Keep Customers & Consultants informed of project progress in a timely manner. Build relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors. Collaborate with Customers and Consultants to track project development. Attend new‑job conference, receive contracts, assign qualified site personnel, and ensure site superintendent is familiar with plans and specs. Assist in preparing preliminary baseline schedules using MS Project. Prepare, update, and maintain the project tracking schedule at least weekly. Preferred Candidate – Qualifications Five (5) years construction management experience required. Experience in complete management of construction functions. Experience in subcontractor qualification & coordination, job planning & scheduling, and negotiating. Preferred previous site superintendence and/or field experience. Preferred College Degree in Construction or Engineering Technology or a University Degree in a construction/engineering related discipline. Ability to comprehend detailed instructions, correspondence, and memos. Strong written and verbal communication skills with vendors and subcontractors. Strong arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages). Problem‑solving skills for logistical issues in variable situations. Spatial ability to set up proper scheduling systems for on‑time material deliveries and subcontractor coordination. Benefits Competitive employee compensation.
