The person in this role will work on-site with the Executive Director at BCSS and Playfly Sports Properties senior level staff to pitch and close enterprise partnership agreements.What You’ll AccomplishPartner with association to develop and execute a sales plan to meet and exceed revenue goals for PlayflyManage profit and loss & budget reports to maintain and exceed EBITDA budgetProspect, meet and close a significant number of new and renewal high level corporate sponsorshipsIdentify potential sponsors for the BCSS sports property through networking with BCSS stakeholders & business partners and researching local, regional & national companiesWork with Playfly Sports Properties leadership and the BCSS staff to create sales inventory, revenue projections and overall sponsorship strategy for BCSS assetsDevelop sales presentations for new marketing partners by incorporating research, category dynamics and an understanding of partner’s marketing goalsCreate sales proposals and draft/negotiate contractsDevelop key marketing objectives with clients via thorough needs assessment and a collaborative sales processEntertain and cultivate sponsors in non-game related settingsPrepare end-of-year recaps for sponsorsRepresent the BCSS sports property, BCSS, and Playfly Sports Properties in a professional mannerResearch sports sponsorship industry and stay current with relevant market trends and conditionsBuild strong understanding of all Playfly business units and offerings in order to leverage new business areas, leads, and categoriesOther job-related duties as assignedWhat You’ll BringBachelor’s degree required3-4 years of direct sales experience in the sports multi-media environment required6+ years of experience in a sales role preferredProven ability in managing, meeting & exceeding budget & revenue goalsFamiliarity with KORE or similar CRM systemStrong experience and understanding of integrated and “conceptual” salesAbility to generate and present ideas and concepts succinctly and provide creative solutions to prospects/clientsOutstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsDemonstrated professional sales presentation skillsMust be driven and coachable to execute the Playfly Sports Properties revenue model and to understand the distinctive relationship with BC School SportsTravel, Lifting, Physical RequirementsMust be available for game days and evening athletic eventsMust be available to travel for client presentationsMust be able to work nights and weekends around sporting eventsActual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
