Director, Recruitment at BJRC Recruiting Our Client: A leading North American Publicly-Listed Insurance Organization. Role: Senior accounting professional responsible for internal financial reporting, month-end close and year-end audit deliverables, variance analysis, budgeting support, and strengthening controls and finance processes across the business. Key responsibilities Own preparation and review of monthly internal financial statements, quarterly reporting packs and year-end audited financial statements. Produce and review variance analysis; investigate and explain material movements. Coordinate reporting across business units and foreign subsidiaries to ensure timely, accurate consolidated reporting. Maintain and improve the general ledger and reporting processes; liaise with ERP/technical providers to optimize reporting functionality. Partner with internal and external auditors to support audits and control assessments; design and implement control improvements. Support the annual budgeting process and ad-hoc financial projects/analysis requested by senior leadership. Represent Finance on cross-functional projects (e.g., IT, underwriting/operations) to ensure reporting and control needs are met. Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Business (Accounting) or equivalent; CPA required. ~3+ years relevant accounting/finance experience with audit exposure; prior controllership or public-company reporting experience preferred. Strong Excel skills and ability to extract/manipulate large data sets (pivot tables, advanced formulas, macros). Experience with cloud ERP/reporting systems an asset. Solid understanding of accounting standards relevant to the sector (experience with insurance accounting standards is an advantage). Excellent written and verbal communication — able to explain technical issues to non-finance stakeholders. Proven analytical, problem-solving, project management and organizational skills; comfortable with deadlines and competing priorities. REF#LI1448 #J-18808-Ljbffr
