Worker Type: Employee Job Post End Date: 10 / 02 / 2025 About this opportunity Reporting to the Manager Data & IT Atlantic Region, the Technical Services Advisor is responsible for ensuring the stable operation and efficient performance of company networks. This role will provide technical support for the complete Atlantic Region IT environment, including infrastructure networking and end‑user compute environments. This position is located at our St. John, NL office. Occasional travel offshore may be required. What you'll do Monitor system capacity to determine its effect on performance and propose recommendations to meet new or changing network demands. Support the Service Desk with Tier 3 end‑user assistance incident troubleshooting and resolution. Support planning and implementation of any improvement, modification or replacement of high‑performance computer infrastructure and application components. Support application services in providing necessary assistance during patching, maintenance, upgrades and other related activities associated with operating an application. Work with Calgary Support Teams to ensure hardware standard configurations of company servers and networks by installing, configuring, inspecting and maintaining the various hardware and software components. Provide training as required by the CAPP Standard Practice for Training & Qualifications of Personnel, Transport Canada and other regulatory requirements, and company training approved by the Cenovus Training Matrix. Who you are Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications: Legally authorized to work in Canada Minimum 2 years of technical experience in IT support working with Windows Server systems in a virtual environment. We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement. This is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to offshore pre‑placement Fitness for Work assessments which includes drug and alcohol screening, a CAPP medical and BST/HUEBA testing. You must be able to travel via helicopter and boat. You will be required to obtain and maintain medical clearance and obtain all required training necessary for offshore travel.
