Key responsibilities include generating payroll reports, managing payments to third‑party vendors, producing Records of Employment (ROEs), addressing queries related to accounting entries, and responding to Service Canada inquiries. The Payroll Analyst demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills, maintains a professional attitude, and effectively interacts with staff at all levels of the organization. In this role, you will: Prepare and produce bi‑weekly staff payrolls. Investigate and resolve all exceptions from reports generated by the UKG Dimensions system. Liaise with Supervisors and HRIS colleagues on all matters related to staff semi‑monthly payrolls. Prepare off‑cycle payrolls for staff transfers, including producing Records of Employment (ROEs) and submitting them to Service Canada. Assist Payroll Manager with year‑end payroll tasks. Provide backup support to other Payroll team members, including the other Payroll Analyst and Payroll Manager, during absences. Perform other duties as assigned. You bring: National Payroll Institute (PCP) designation an asset or equivalent experience. Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience. Previous experience working within a not‑for‑profit organization. Experience in computerized payroll systems. Strong computer skills including advanced Excel, Word, computerized payroll packages, and knowledge of Access an asset. Detail‑oriented with superior analytical skills. Well‑developed interpersonal and relationship‑building skills with the ability to establish rapport and communicate effectively with members, staff, and volunteers. Excellent written, oral communication, and problem‑solving skills. Excellent understanding of diversity, inclusion, and equity including the ability to identify and address barriers, work effectively with diverse stakeholders, and integrate equity into program design.
