OverviewParrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) has an opportunity for a motivated, forward-thinking, and dedicated individual as an Industrial Electrician for our Milling division based in Lethbridge, AB.Your RoleReporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Industrial Electrician is responsible for repairing plant electrical and mechanical equipment in an efficient, timely, and safe manner, ensuring the safety of everyone on site while maintaining production efficiency.BenefitsLearning and Development ProgramsDental, Vision, and Extended Health CareTuition ReimbursementEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid Time OffRRSP MatchingWellness ProgramCompany EventsDay to DayMaintain a safe working environment by ensuring Health & Safety programs, policies, and procedures are followedPerform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks and work orders throughout the plant, ensuring they are completed in a timely manner and in compliance with safety rules and standardsRepair, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment and systems, including electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC systemsConduct routine plant inspections, identify equipment malfunctions, and provide observations and recommended corrective actions to the Maintenance ManagerWork effectively in a food processing environment with an emphasis on compliance with food safety, Brand Reputation Compliance Global Standards (BRCGS), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirementsPerform and/or assist in the testing and calibration of machines and equipmentOptimize equipment safety, food safety, and reliability by following appropriate precautions to prevent risks to employees and productsMonitor spare parts inventory levels and provide updates to the Maintenance Manager for procurement planningMaintain documents and records in accordance with all relevant Quality and Safety policies and proceduresParticipate in continuous improvement projects and initiativesPerform other duties as assigned, including but not limited to welding, machining, and fabrication, where trained and qualifiedAttend safety meetings, training sessions, and certifications as requiredRequired QualificationsCertified Journeyman Electricians or registered apprentices will be consideredExperience with GMP and BRCGS food safety systems considered an assetWorking knowledge and experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), VFDs, troubleshooting, pneumatics, mechanical systems, hydraulics, rotating equipment, and electrical systemsProficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)Proficient with CMMS programs; quick to learn other computerized systemsExcellent troubleshooting, analytical, and multitasking skillsWorking knowledge of flour mill operations and/or packaging equipment considered an assetStrong oral and written communication skillsSelf-directed; able to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to work on a rotating schedule, including after-hours calls and weekendsWork and grow with a family-owned company.Join our team with Purpose & History P&H’s roots go back over 115 years.
