Video Animator

Cella by Randstad Digital is partnering with a leading Canadian organization to source a talented Freelance Video Animator. This is a project-based, remote opportunity focused on creating a series of short, impactful video assets for an internal organizational design initiative. We are seeking a creative professional to act as the primary animator for these assets, working with largely finalized scripts and storyboards to deliver high-quality, educational/explainer-style videos. The initial engagement requires dedicated availability for approximately 10 weeks to deliver the first set of videos, with the strong potential for other projects and follow up work. This role requires a talent whose work is mobile-friendly, digestible, and aligns with best practices for infographic and learner-focused video content. Occasional travel to the client's office in Mississauga, ON, may be requested for future work or meetings, so preference will be given to local talent. Creative Autonomy: Serve as the primary creative force on these assets, building prototypes and final products. Impactful Project: Contribute to an important, organization-wide project with an approved budget and a clear timeline. Responsibilities Design and produce a series of short (approx. 30-second) animated videos, primarily focused on organizational design/educational content. Translate finalized scripts and storyboards into engaging, mobile-friendly animated visuals. Ensure all creative output adheres to brand standards and video production best practices. Collaborate with the client’s internal production and organizational effectiveness teams to develop and provide feedback on outputs. Integrate pre-approved audio assets (which may utilize AI tools and will include both English and French versions) into the final video product. Manage your own software and equipment to deliver the required animations. Qualifications 5+ Years working as a Video Animator Expertise in Explainer/Infographic Video Animation: Proven ability to create clear, engaging, and digestible animated content for educational or internal communication purposes. Strong Portfolio: Demonstrated proficiency in character, motion, and visual design appropriate for a corporate, learner-focused aesthetic. Your portfolio should clearly demonstrate your aesthetic and ability to produce professional-grade, learner-centric animated content. We are looking for work that highlights your skill in taking complex or corporate topics and making them visually accessible and engaging. Project Management & Timelines: Ability to manage a project timeline, deliver prototypes for feedback, and quickly finalize products within a tight timeframe.
