About EventConnectEventConnect is a team of sports and technology enthusiasts dedicated to supporting our partners. Our product, EventConnectTM, connects event organizers, hotels, and cities to manage communication, marketing, reporting, and everything in between.About The RoleAs an Event Management Specialist, you will work alongside a Procurement Specialist to secure the best hotels and rates for our events. You will train hotels on our platform to create value for both hotels and athletes/families. The Event Management Specialists oversee all aspects of event management in the post‑contracting process, including reservation compliance, inventory management, event strategy, and various forms of hotel support.ResponsibilitiesProvide exceptional support to Hotel Sales Representatives, CVB’s and NSOs via phone, email and chatOnboard new hotels into the EventConnect networkMonitor and manage event performance via the Event Management Report and cross‑department strategy meetingsDraft and review hotel contractsPerform market researchCreatively consider ways to improve current systemsLoad contract data into the EventConnect softwareComplete Event Validation, including financials and quality checksTrain hotels on the use of EventConnect software and host hotel dashboard webinarsMaintain events for adequate available inventoryAct and complete multiple event management tasks simultaneouslyComply with hotel reservations with precision and attention to detailWork with Hotel Partners on oversell resolutionAnalyze and issue renewal contracts to hotels on behalf of Contract Specialists when applicableParticipate with rotating on‑call schedule for company emergency phone lineQualificationsAbility to multitask and be agile in a fast‑paced environmentKnowledge of the hotel industry and brand standardsIntimate knowledge of contracts and the ability to contractAbility to calculate revenue minimums and understand revenue targetsAccepts and welcomes new challengesAccountable for being a team member and contributing to goalsFriendly, professional, and confident nature on the phone and through email communicationsStrong problem‑solving skills and the ability to collaborate with othersOrganized approach to completing your work to strengthen client and hotel relationshipsA University or College graduateMinimum of 2 years of hotel experienceBenefitsCompetitive salary and benefitsA casual but energetic work environment made for today’s workersPerformance‑driven cultureGrowth opportunitiesIT equipment providedEventConnect welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
