We are an engineering group, 100% owned by our managers and employees, and united by a common passion, exercising a profession that combines the art of designing with ingenuity and building with commitment.Driven by our values of technical excellence, proximity to clients and entrepreneurial spirit, we are more than ever determined to be a company that is useful to the world and to people, and that contributes to have a positive impact on the environment and society.Join one of our multidisciplinary teams today – your adventure begins hereLocationSt‑John Port (St‑John, Newfoundland and Labrador)ResponsibilitiesComplete project scope statements;Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements;Set up project work orders;Develop realistic schedules in conjunction with the project team to complete projects;Manage day‑to‑day operational aspects of projects and scope of work;Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) through continual improvement and active participation in corporate HSE processes;Initiate and monitor all aspects of projects to ensure compliance with schedules and budgets;Ensure project change requests are properly evaluated and authorized;Ensure all approved changes are communicated to the project team and reflected in the active project budget and schedule;Ensure that potential impacts of project changes from cost, schedule, safety and quality/reliability perspectives are identified and communicated to stakeholders in a timely manner;Establish and manage project risk registers;Identify and respond to issues, implement timely interventions or elevate as required to ensure project outcomes comply with project plans;Ensure that terms of agreements or commitments are understood and fully respected;Ensure that work packages are developed and leveraged by the project team;Determine insurance requirements for projects in consultation with Hydro’s Risk and Insurance Division;Establish the necessary level of site presence during project execution;Manage the commissioning phase of the work;Complete monthly capital reports and accruals;Ensure continual improvement is nurtured through lessons learned sessions, supporting innovative approaches and communication to other project teams;Communicate with Operations / End User Client on a regular basis.QualificationsBachelor's or College's degree in civil engineering;Member of PEGNL (an asset);Experience as a Project Manager with utility experience, building construction, roads, tanks and general civil type of work;Experience completing work in isolated communities (an asset);Valid Canadian driver's license;Good organizational skills and excellent communication skills;Autonomy, attention to detail and initiative;Time and priority management skills.BenefitsMinimum one year mandate (possibility of extension);Full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week;Competitive salaries;Retirement savings plan with employer contribution;Group insurance program;Health Spending Account;Reimbursement of professional contribution fees;Stimulating work environment.Please note that Artelia subscribes to the Employment Equity Program and encourages women, visible minorities, Indigenous people, and persons with disabilities to apply.
