Eataly is not a chain; each Eataly is different, with its own character and own theme – but all with the same aim for our guests to:EAT authentic Italian food at our restaurants, cafés and to-go countersSHOP a selection of high-quality Italian, local and homemade productsLEARN through our classes and our team’s product knowledgeJob DescriptionMarket Sales Associate provides exceptional guest service across Eataly’s various QSR counters – serving gelato, pastries, coffee, paninis and other Italian treats.Provides service across all QSR countersCompletes food preparation assignments neatly, accurately and in a timely mannerSets up stations and replenishes displays neatly including separation of allergensEnsures all items are dated and following First In First Out (FIFO) standardsPrepares necessary collateral, weighs, labels, packages and serves productsComplies with department policies and quality, health, safety and sanitation standardsOperates a cash register and ensures accuracy of cash drops and authenticity of billsEnsures the sales floor is well maintained and stocked at all timesUtilizes sales techniques to maximize store sales performanceBuilds and maintains relationships with guestsParticipates in processes and procedures related to the departmentFocuses on details with a firm, clear and highly professional stylePerforms other duties as required or assignedQualificationsOutstanding communication and guest service skillsExperience operating a cash register preferredPrior food service experience preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredSmart Serve CertificationAdditional InformationBenefits and PerksMedical, Dental, Vision InsurancePaid Time OffPaid Parental LeaveRRSPBonus programFree family meal dailyDiscounts at EatalyClasses on products and Italian cuisineReferral bonus programand moreEataly is committed to creating and maintaining a workplace that is free from harassment and discrimination under the Ontario Human Rights Code.
