Electrical Engineering Support Manager Countrywide LPG Limited (Flogas) About the Role Join an engaged, 1,350 strong team delivering energy solutions across the UK. As Electrical Engineering Support Manager, you will lead a team of electrical specialists, managing operational electrical work, ensuring compliance, supporting contractors and providing technical guidance to the EC&I division. Responsibilities Manage operational-based electrical work and lead the electrical team. Report to the EC&I Manager and provide technical support on the electrical side of the business. Ensure compliance and manage contractors. Provide leadership, mentorship and development opportunities for the electrical team. Drive initiatives toward 100% renewable energy by 2040, working with technologies such as heat pumps, solar panels and bio‑fuels. Qualifications NICEIC QS certification. Time served approved electrician (apprentice trained). Knowledge of hazardous area equipment and explosive atmospheres (COMPEX MODULES EX01–EX04). Inspection and testing (City & Guilds 2391 – 17th edition, or 2394 & 2395 – 18th edition). Experience in asset‑management systems. Strong understanding of electrical theory, power systems and control systems. Deep knowledge of hazardous‑area classifications and zoning, especially gas group 11A. Organise and maintain site electrical files using ExTrace. Knowledge of HV systems. Familiarity with functional safety. Understanding of static discharge hazards, LPG ignition sources, gas dispersion behaviour in open and enclosed areas. Advanced knowledge of BS EN 60079 and BS 7671. Benefits Discretionary bonus.
