And the best thing about working at Kawartha Dairy – you get FREE ICE CREAMWhat You’ll Do:Seamlessly carry on business acting in the capacity of Store Manager during times when the manager is on an extended absenceEnsure that your team delivers the outstanding Kawartha Dairy experience, while providing the highest level of customer service ensuring that Pride systems and routines are incorporated into the day-to-day operation of the storeA large portion of the shift will be to scoop ice cream, make milkshakes and assist our customers with their purchasesLead by example through educating customers about our products and assisting your crew in their daily tasks as requiredDeliver feedback and coaching on a regular basis to team members, and promote a positive and fun team atmosphere.Respond to customer complaints, taking prompt and appropriate action to resolve problem and ensure customer satisfaction is maintainedMeet sales targets and achieve profitability by controlling costs (labour, supplies, inventory etc.).Oversee day-to-day operations, and delegate effectively to meet daily deadlinesClosely collaborate with the Store Manager to develop store specific strategies and to implement themAssist the store manager to maintain and improve the procedures and personnel practices utilized to maintain store inventoryFollow procedures to maintain appropriate inventory levelsFollow procedures to maintain the practice of inventory rotationFollow procedures for the purpose of inventory controlAnalyze result of inventory variances and improveAssist the store manager to establish and maintain work schedules to allow for variances in customer orderingHire, schedule and train all staff in exceptional customer serviceDevelop and supervise staff to achieve high levels of performance and customer serviceDevelop and maintain a positive productive team working environmentSupervise staff in the proper practices utilized in the proper preparation and handling of productsAdminister required documentation in administration of payrollAssist the store manager to maintain communications with staff and customersEnsure customer satisfaction is carried out and resolve customer concerns and/or escalate to the next level of authority as appropriateEnsure that front of house offerings are prepared with the highest caliber of presentationProvide for monitoring and reporting of personnel practicesConduct performance reviews with all personnelMaintain safe and sanitary conditions for staff and customersRetain a thorough knowledge of company policies and proceduresAssist the store manager to provide for information and recording of documentationMaintain accurate and timely inventory control and ordering systemsFollow and closely monitor proper procedures and policies to maintain effective cash managementEnsure cash deposits to bank on a daily basisAssist the store manager to maintain required schedules and procedures for inspection and monitoring of store equipment, store building, processes and proceduresFollow inspection schedules for equipment and buildingProvide for inspection and monitoring of processes and proceduresWhat You Need to Get the Job Done:2-3 years’ experience in a team lead role in retail/sales, restaurant business, or customer serviceA wonderful smile and great attitude working with a teamAre positive, friendly and social with customers and team membersAre mature and reliable with strong communication skills and work ethicHave a flexible schedule and be able to work evenings, weekend shifts as well as federal and civic holidays to ensure effective oversight of all segments of the business and communication with staffYou are an excellent coach, mentor, teacher, and communicator who cherishes the experience of managing and working with some amazing people.Has the ability to adapt and lead others in a constantly changing, high paced, but super fun environmentThis is a dynamic role that requires multi-tasking with the ability to work independentlyPhysical ability to work long hours standing/walking and bending at the waist. Tasks that involve grasping using repetitive hand action and reaching above should height to perform some duties.
