Senior Cloud DevOps Developer

Fortinet Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada Senior Cloud DevOps Developer One of our top product teams is hiring a Cloud DevOps Developer to develop, maintain and optimize our Cloud infrastructures. This role requires experience in DevOps practices on AWS/GCP/Azure or private clouds, and software development preferably in Python or Go. Responsibilities Design and build advanced DevOps solutions with a focus on reliability, scalability, and efficiency. Create and maintain cloud service infrastructure (VMs, Kubernetes, networking, etc.) through infrastructure as code on Fortinet's private or public cloud. Develop and improve our CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless development cycles and high‑quality software releases. Oversee infrastructure, service reliability, and perform root‑cause analysis of software, process, and service failures. Define and implement system, application, and error monitoring tools. Collaborate closely with development, QA, and operational teams to foster continuous improvement and innovation. Requirements Working knowledge of OpenStack, AWS, or other public/private cloud providers. Advanced knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and their deployment and management in production environments. Advanced knowledge and experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform. Strong programming and scripting knowledge – Bash and Python. Strong understanding of Linux systems, networking, and troubleshooting techniques. Exceptional problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure. Experience with systems monitoring and visualization tools. Expertise in Jenkins or GitLab pipelines for CI/CD pipeline construction and management. Experience in a 24/7 production environment delivering high availability or mission‑critical applications. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with different teams. Preferred Hands‑on experience in Kubernetes orchestration to build, maintain, and monitor application services. Salary The Canada base salary range for this full‑time position is expected to be between $112,000 – $137,000 annually. Salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
