Location Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada Your Work Environment at EXP In this role, you will be a part of our Transportation team, based in Fredericton, NB and have the opportunity to work on the design, planning, assessment, evaluation and rehabilitation of various roadway structures, such as bridges, culverts, retaining walls and more. Responsibilities Participate and lead condition assessments of existing roadway structures (bridges, culverts, etc). Lead the planning and schematic/geometric layout of new structures. Perform analysis and design calculations according to the applicable design codes for the design, evaluation and rehabilitation of roadway structures. Leverage a range of general and specialty computer software to aid in structural analysis, design, evaluation and planning. Work with drafting team members to prepare drawings and details for the construction and rehabilitation of various structures. Perform material quantity take‑offs. Perform construction and life cycle cost estimates. Assist in preparation of construction specifications. Organize design calculations and design briefs; and assist with project construction administration including reviews of shop drawings and requests for information. Qualifications Bachelor’s of Civil Engineering. 4–8 years of relevant experience. Registration as a Professional Engineer in at least one Canadian Province or Territory with intention of registration in New Brunswick and surrounding professional associations. Bridge inspection experience following OSIM or similar. Knowledge of structural analysis and design software such as Staad, Altair Suite, Structure Point Suite. Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D. Proficiency with MS Office software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
