 Description Cummins is looking for an experienced Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our team based in Fort Hills, AB. The position is a fly‑in fly‑out camp role with 7 shifts on, 7 shifts off – days and nights. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways Engages customers in a courteous and professional manner. Anticipates and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs. Applies specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools. Coaches on preventative maintenance activities and basic repairs completed by customer employees. Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced on‑site technicians and/or supervisors. Completes required documentation such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, and quality documents via handwritten forms or business‑system input screens. Completes training in line with skill and business requirements. Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation. Ensures adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation, reporting any issues or incidents to site management and to supervisors. Requirements Heavy‑duty Red Seal certification – off‑road is mandatory. Basic level field service work experience. Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products. High‑Voltage/Low‑Voltage experience is considered an asset. Customer‑facing service experience. Clean driver’s abstract required. About the Role Random drug and alcohol testing on site. Service vehicle and tooling are provided. 7 shifts on, 7 shifts off – days and nights. Flights from Edmonton and Calgary covered by Cummins. Position is safety sensitive. Work will be predominantly on haul trucks. Cummins offers a $5,000 sign‑on bonus for this role. Premiums are also associated with this role. Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
