The company is composed of highly experienced engineers, entrepreneurs, and managers and is seeking talented professionals with creativity, innovation, and a blend of technical and business considerations.About the roleIn the product development of an Electric Propulsion System and a Modular Battery Pack, H55 is searching for a Senior Electrical Test Engineer to be based in its state‑of‑the‑art new facility in Longueuil.This role focuses on defining test activities, strategies, and execution to enable successful product demonstration (V&V) of the Battery module. It combines strategic test planning with practical, hands‑on execution, offering ownership, autonomy, and the chance to shape how test activities are carried out across continents.ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary test focal point in Canada, representing the Test team in cross‑functional activities with engineering, certification, and operations.Liaise with product and system development teams to capture test needs, including the team in Switzerland.Define appropriate test set‑ups to provide test data for prototype development, qualification, verification, and demonstration of safety of flight tests.Create documentation, including technical descriptions, test procedures, and reports.Execute complex tests involving electrical, mechanical, software, control, and instrumentation elements while maintaining safety.Coordinate test activities with both in‑house test teams and external suppliers.Manage external suppliers and configuration of test assets to ensure traceability of test activities.Assist test and development teams with troubleshooting, debugging, and lessons learned activities.Track and log activities as required.Provide timely formal and informal status updates as required by project management.Lead test bench assembly, commissioning, instrumentation, wiring, and basic mechanical integration.Operate, maintain, and adapt test benches on site independently, ensuring readiness.Support operational readiness by managing consumables, test equipment, and site‑level logistics.ProfileUniversity degree in a relevant engineering discipline.Experience in electronics and electrical system testing (7–10 years).Good awareness of safety challenges associated with batteries and high‑voltage testing.Knowledge of LabVIEW‑based systems is a strong asset.Open‑minded and cooperative.Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative in a small team environment.Comfortable balancing hands‑on technical work with planning and reporting activities.Experience in defining test plans and executing test campaigns.Self‑starter with strong ownership, able to manage daily priorities with limited supervision.Fluency in French and English (oral and written).Position may require occasional travel to headquarters in Switzerland.H55 is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all qualified individuals regardless of nationality, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age.
