Director, Corporate, Infrastructure and Project Finance Group – Toronto Join Fitch Ratings’ North America Corporate, Infrastructure and Project Finance Group as a Director based in Toronto. This senior credit role focuses on the analysis, execution and rating of infrastructure and project finance transactions, especially those related to energy and power assets in the United States and Canada. Responsibilities Lead ratings analysis, execution and research on new and existing North American infrastructure and project finance transactions. Evaluate innovative credit structures and support global criteria development. Identify market trends, assess their credit impact and highlight findings in industry and market reports. Gather and analyze quantitative, qualitative and legal data to produce ratings, publish credit reports, and contribute to special research projects. Build and maintain strong relationships with analytical groups across Fitch to ensure consistency and efficient transaction execution. Mentor junior team members. Qualifications 8–10 years of solid project finance experience in the infrastructure sector, including development of credit or underwriting approaches for new sectors. Proven project finance and infrastructure credit skills from a bank credit department, rating agency, buy‑side credit department, or similar role. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills. Open‑mindedness and ability to think expansively about opportunities and risks in the evolving infrastructure landscape. Strong financial modelling skills and thorough familiarity with spreadsheet‑based models. Ability to read and fully comprehend complex structures and ask probing questions to issuers and advisers. Demonstrated leadership, multitasking and flexibility to manage tight deadlines. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a fast‑paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a rating agency or ratings advisory work. Deep understanding and keen interest in infrastructure and project finance. Background in capital markets and/or credit analysis. Experience interpreting complex legal documents such as bank agreements and bond indentures. Strong leadership pattern and proactive stakeholder engagement. CFA designation. Master’s degree in Finance, Business or Public Administration (preferred). Why Fitch?
