We are currentlyseeking to add a f/t permanent Facility Operations Manager to lead ourWhitehorse facility.
Duties andResponsibilities:
Completing field workby:o
Oversight of the KBL Emergency Responseprogramo
Manage out of town facility related work (i.e.: Outof town pick ups/remote locations, arranging for transportation, anddisposals)o
Being actively involved in waste consolidation,yard organization and implementing waste receiving and shippingprocesses
Assist with managing existing projectsby:o
Customer Service, which includes customer inquiries,complaints, and execution of work for clients.o
Oversee dailyoperations duties, including day to day planning with facilitysupervisor, including KBL’s health and safety program and inspections.Assist in any areas that are required.o
Liaising withRegional Operations Manager to ensure operations are running asrequired.
Health & Safetyo
Responsible for enforcingcompliance with all Health & Safety requirements to always ensureworker safety, both at the facility and offsite worksites;
Finding and bidding on new environmental projectopportunities by:o
Dealing with customers and vendorsdirectly via phone, email, or in person
Assisting withbusiness unit financials by:o
Providing quotes to customersthat meet desired company margins.o
Monthly financialaccountabilities including but not limited to reviewing Facility P&L,managing subcontractors’ costs and being accountable to facilityprofitability.
Qualifications:o
Ideally three yearsminimum in the waste management industryo
Experience inleading a team a definite asset; you will lead the Facility WasteTechnicans and Lead Hand/Supervisors.o
Strong understandingof operation principles and mechanical aptitudeo
Validdrivers license; class three would be an asset.o
Computerskills – able to use MS Office (including Teams) data entry into Sageaccounting.o
Strong logistical understanding of theYukono
Due to possible exposure immunizations arerecommended.
Physical Requirements and WorkingEnvironment:o
Requirement travel 20% of the time to other KBLlocations under your supervision.o
Able to lift up to 75 lbs.repeatedly.o
Able to work outside in all weatherconditions.o
There can be exposure to dust, noise, mud,water, smoke, and bacteria.o
