We are actively searching for an experienced Service Technician for our client who is in need of a candidate for projects in an around the Vancouver area. Someone with a Journeyman or Red Seal Electrician certification would be the ideal candidate. Company Overview Our client is a leading manufacturer and service provider of industrial lifting equipment, including cranes, hoists, and related technologies. Job Summary As a Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our client's state‑of‑the‑art industrial lifting equipment. Your technical expertise and problem‑solving skills will be essential in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our clients' machinery. Key Responsibilities Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repair of industrial cranes, hoists, and related equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment, and implement effective solutions. Maintain detailed records of all service and repair activities. Collaborate with the engineering team to identify opportunities for equipment upgrades and improvements. Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment. Qualifications Journeyman or Red Seal Electrician Certificate (preferred). Minimum 3 years of experience as a Service Technician or Maintenance Mechanic, preferably in the industrial equipment or manufacturing industry. Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics. Excellent problem‑solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed. Certifications in industrial equipment maintenance or repair are an asset. Working Conditions This is a full‑time permanent position based in Vancouver, BC. Typically Monday to Friday day shifts. The work environment involves both indoor and outdoor settings, and may require some physical labor, such as lifting and maneuvering heavy equipment. A flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends, may be required to accommodate client needs. Compensation and Benefits This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $45-55/hour with possible wiggle room, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and professional development opportunities.
