Jira Cloud Support Engineer

We are recruiting an experienced Jira Cloud Support Engineer to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry.NOTE :Hybrid / On CallOn callRESPONSIBILITIESSupporting a large-scale Jira Cloud environment with approximately 30,000 usersAdministration, configuration, and ongoing support of Jira Cloud, Jira Service Management (JSM), Confluence, and related Atlassian toolsLeverage your expertise in ScriptRunner, Python, and Git / GitHub to automate processes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal performance and reliability for our clients Atlassian ecosystemUtilizes JSM to triage and address users requestsREQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's DegreeMinimum 3 years of hands‑on administration experience with Jira Cloud, including Jira Service Management (JSM)Prior administration experience with Atlassian Analytics, Jira Product Discovery, and CompassPrior experience supporting Jira Cloud instances with at least 5,000 users (preferably 10,000+)Proficiency in Confluence administration and integration with Jira CloudStrong scripting skills using ScriptRunner for JiraDemonstrated experience with Python development for automation and integrationsSolid understanding and practical experience with Git and GitHub for version control and workflow managementExperience providing on‑call support for enterprise‑scale Atlassian environmentsPython, GitHub, Jira Python experienceAbility to construct basic scripts leveraging REST API callsExperience with pull requests, branching and Git fundamentals JiraAbility to configure workflows, custom fields, permission schemes, issue level securityExperience with Azure / Entra (or other Identity provider) integration is expectedExperience with collaborating with customers to configure a JSM service deskExperience with labor agreements and labor controlFinance background is a plusExperience in conflict resolution and supervising a unionized workforce is an assetStrong team player with initiative, willing to work both independently and within a teamStrong diagnostics and problem‑solving skillsStrong communications and organizational skillsFamiliar with process control, optimization and analysis of dataStrong background in PC applications (Excel, Access, Word, Power Point, CATS, PFS, HPIMS, ODIMS, PSAP)The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing large Jira Cloud instances, a proactive approach to problem‑solving, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced settingPREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSFamiliarity with Atlassian Forge app developmentExposure to large‑scale migrations or consolidations within Atlassian Cloud productsExperience with Atlassian Access and enterprise user managementFamiliarity with SAML SSO and identity provider integrations (Okta, Azure AD, etc.)Knowledge of Atlassian Marketplace apps and their administrationExperience with advanced Jira automation (native and third‑party tools)Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management frameworksExposure to Atlassian Cloud‑to‑Cloud migrationsExperience with incident and change management processesKnowledge of security best practices in Atlassian CloudExperience training or onboarding end‑users and adminsFamiliarity with Agile and Scrum methodologiesExposure to Atlassian Insight / Assets for asset managementExperience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Opsgenie, PagerDuty)Experience working in a distributed or fully remote team environmentOTHER PERKS & BENEFITSPaid Benefits after 90 days (individual and family) – extended medical, out‑of‑country coverage, dental etc.Pension eligibility, with employer match, after 1 full year of work (open enrollment every October)MEDA offers an excellent referral bonus.
