Engine Field Service Technician (Tumbler Ridge) Join to apply for the Engine Field Service Technician (Tumbler Ridge) role at Cummins Inc. Describe Cummins is looking for an experienced diesel mechanic to complete its team in Tumbler Ridge, BC. This position will support our mining operations. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Establish and continually develop productive customer relations and ensure prompt and efficient attention to customer needs. Apply the use of specialized tools and follow documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete complex repairs at customer site. Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engines and related components in the field. Escalate unresolved issues to product specialists or supervisor. Coach and develop technicians and/or apprentices and transfer knowledge and experience to others; may provide work direction; may review repair plans, parts lists, etc. Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens. Identify additional sales and service opportunities with customer. Complete training in line with skill and business requirements. Maintain service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation. Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor. Qualifications Heavy duty Red seal certification – OFF road is mandatory. Valid local driver’s license and clean abstract are mandatory. Basic level field service work experience. Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products. Customer facing service experience is required. High Horse Power engine experience is required. Mining and Oil & Gas experience. High Horse Power engine experience is required. A valid local driver's license will be required. A copy of your trade diploma will be requested. A 5 years driver’s abstract will be requested. About The Role Safety Sensitive Position. 14 shifts on, 14 shifts off rotation. Day and Night shifts. Work is in Tumbler Ridge, BC. Cummins provides transport from Grande-Prairie* to the job site. Random drug and alcohol testing on site. Commute vehicle and tooling are provided on site. Accommodations (apartment) is provided.
