We have completed over 1,000 technology projects in North American retail, bringing that experience and expertise to each new project.Visit us at RedIron.comJob DescriptionSoftware developers work with existing team members to deliver critical projects and modules, many of which require expertise in specific technical domains. They will split their time between working on core product enhancements and customer-specific implementations. Our products are based on the Microsoft Platform, primarily focusing on the .NET framework and C#. We also use Java and Linux for select projects. Our engineering team employs Agile methodologies to manage and deliver solutions.Qualifications5+ years of experience in software developmentProficiency in .NET Core, Java, or C++Experience with multi-threaded programmingFamiliarity with Microsoft Visual Studio or EclipseKnowledge of relational and NoSQL databasesStrong problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical, and decision-making skillsSense of ownership and commitment to project successAbility to produce high-quality, consistent, and optimized codeAbility to understand the broader business implications of projectsExperience in producing system and technical requirement documentationDisciplined in documentation and using project collaboration toolsAbility to multitask and prioritize under demanding timelinesKey ResponsibilitiesWork independently and take ownership of project deliveryEnsure quality in project delivery, including testing, security, documentation, and coding standardsCollaborate with QA and PM teams; report to team lead or supervisorContribute to project requirements and designUnderstand business requirements and their impact on projects to support design decisionsEnsure project compliance with development methodologiesMentor and guide other developers for continuous improvementAdditional InformationBeneficial Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesService-Oriented ArchitectureTesting frameworksJIRAJenkinsPythonC#Knowledge of retail Point-of-Sale systems and related conceptsHealth benefits are available after a 90-day probation period.Job Location #J-18808-Ljbffr
