Your mission should you accept it: Reporting to the Electrical Director, the Electrical Estimator plays a key role in establishing costs and schedules for high-voltage substations and other electrical work required in major renewable energy projects across Canada. They actively contribute to the bidding strategy to support Borea's growth. Do you have what it takes? Positive energy and commitment to excellence drive this role. Responsibilities Analyze tender documents (plans, specifications, addenda, contractual conditions, etc.) and participate in developing the bidding strategy in collaboration with the estimating team; Coordinate preliminary engineering with external consultants when required; Analyze proposals received from suppliers and subcontractors and recommend the best options to create realistic and accurate estimates; Develop a preliminary schedule; Identify technical and contractual risks and opportunities; Participate in the bid closing and handover meetings with the construction teams Qualifications Extensive experience in estimating and constructing high-voltage substations and electrical projects in heavy industry; College diploma (DEC) or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or other equivalent experience; Analytical and synthesizing skills, rigor, and attention to detail; Autonomy, versatility, and the ability to work under pressure; Bilingual (French and English), both oral and written; Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Project.
