Director, Commercial Banking – National Bank of Canada Lead the growth of a portfolio of business clients within the Barrie region as part of the Commercial Banking & Private Banking 1859 sector. Your role will involve advising clients on financial strategies and driving new business opportunities. Your role Identify and develop business opportunities in your market, increase the commercial client base, and establish business development strategies. Help clients attain their business objectives by proposing financial strategies based on the most suitable combination of Bank products and services. Meet clients' changing needs by adapting and optimizing financial products and advice approaches. Negotiate terms and conditions of agreements with clients, ensuring compliance with risk management standards and profitability criteria. Draw up business development plans. Assist the Regional Vice‑President in reaching objectives. Collaborate with the Manager – Financing Solutions. Actively participate in networking activities (cocktails, conferences, etc.). Work in synergy with all other Bank departments. Your team Collaborate with financing solutions managers and cross‑functional departments to deliver tailored solutions to business clients. Prerequisites At least 5 to 9 years of experience in sales and business development within the financial industry, based on academic background. University certificate with 9 years’ experience. Bachelor’s degree with 7 years’ experience. Master’s degree with 5 years’ experience. Experience in sales and business development. Experience in analysis of financial statements.
