The Bell Creek Complex, located approximately 20 kilometers northeast of Timmins, consists of an underground mine and processing facility. Mineralization is associated with the Porcupine-Destor fault system within the Abitibi greenstone belt, with ore mined by narrow vein longhole stoping methods. There are many support networks in the community including the local Timmins and District Hospital, local sports leagues for children and adults (hockey, baseball, basketball, etc.), golf courses, both cross‑country and downhill ski resorts, a community pool, and many other community events that provide entertainment throughout the year - fairs, carnivals, concerts, and more About the Opportunity We are looking to hire a (4) Mine Engineering Co-Op Students to support our team at the Bell Creek Mine in Porcupine, ON and Timmins West Mine in Timmins, ON, on a contractbasis. The schedule is 4x3, 10 hrs/day. The placements will run from May 2026 to August 2027. Please note that this role requires relocation to the Timmins area and is not a camp‑based position. Responsibilities of the Mine Engineering Student include Assist the planning, ventilation and surveying personnel in their day‑to‑day activities Work both on surface and in underground environments Data entry, filing, and excellent computer skills will be required. You will be required to work with Deswik, Ventsim, and Microsoft Office. More About You The following is required to be eligible for this role: Currently enrolled in a mineral/mining engineering program (2nd, 3rd, 4th year) Access to a vehicle or arrange car‑pooling as public transportation is not available As our ideal candidate, you are a highly resourceful team player, with excellent communication, attention to detail, and time management skills. You are a problem‑solver through actively seeking opportunities and proposing solutions with innovative ideas. Above all, you have demonstrated the ability to take initiative, while being highly accountable, and proactive.
