Our Calgary client is looking for a Senior Mobile Technician

Our client in Calgary is seeking a Senior Mobile Technician with expertise in voice radio systems to install, maintain, and support enterprise communication networks at an Oil Sand Facility. This is a one-year contract position to start with a requirement for candidates to be local to the Fort McMurray area. The schedule is Monday to Thursday, 40 hours per week.

Must-Haves:
  1. 7+ years of experience as a Mobile Technician / Engineer
  2. Management and administration of conventional, analogue, and digital trunked two-way radio systems (Motorola Connect Plus and Capacity Max)
  3. Experience with Scada systems (GE MDS), pagers transmitters, and receivers
  4. Experience in developing and interpreting network diagrams, building layouts & electrical drawings
  5. Fibre optics experience
  6. Experience in managing vendor support agreements
Responsibilities:
  • Support the execution of upgrade projects as required
  • Radio system life cycle maintenance support
  • First line of response to troubleshoot faults in the voice radio system
  • Project support for system implementation
  • Inventory of equipment and life cycle management
  • System maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting
