Reporting to the Sr. Supervisor, Global Trade & Security, you will coordinate export, import and trade compliance activities within the organization.As a key member of the Global Trade team, you will maintain export/import compliance procedures and program documentation, including product classification, Canadian, U.S. and International authorization management and administration, technology transfers and deemed exports, self-assessments and training in accordance with established procedures, guidelines and schedules.ResponsibilitiesEnsure effective export/import compliance, in accordance with Canadian, U.S. and International export laws and regulationsPerform daily trade compliance activities, including: review and approve hardware export authorizations (domestic and international); prepare and review customs documents such as Commercial Invoices, CARM & CERS portal, USMCA and other Free Trade Agreement analyses and qualifications; validate HS codes and tariff mitigation opportunities; manage technology transfers / deemed exports (Data Services Export Requests forms); review Destination Control Statements for ITAR, EAR, and Controlled Goods shipments; prepare end-user statements for Supply Chain Management; import classification, valuation, and country of origin analysisSupport trade compliance and security audits and implement corrective actionsAssist with implementation of trade, customs and security compliance trainingSupply Chain Due Diligence to include: FCPA, Cyber DFARS, Sanction approvals, Annual Vendor Compliance CertificationsSupport development and implementation of improved processesContribute to and uphold a positive, collaborative, and respectful workplace cultureQualifications & ExperienceA University Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum two years of relevant experience in the export/import or shipment of goods and materials in CanadaExperience with Canadian Controlled Goods Regulations, U.S. ITAR and EAR is an assetKnowledge of Canada Customs and Global Affairs Canada regulations is an assetStrong multitasking skills and ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environmentSelf-motivated with a consistently positive attitudeEagerness to learn and grow through study, mentorship, and hands-on experienceSecurity and eligibility: This position involves technologies regulated by Canada.”s Controlled Goods Program and Contract Security Program.
