Manager, Wholesale Financial Control at RBC What is the opportunity? An exciting opportunity to join the Wholesale (Commercial Banking) Finance team. The Manager, Wholesale Financial Control, will act as the subject‑matter expert and key point of contact for the Commercial Banking business in Canada within RBC Canadian Banking, with the objective of delivering timely, accurate and reliable financial information. The manager will support the internal and external reporting, disclosure requirements and control framework, and will seek opportunities to streamline existing processes and participate in ad‑hoc projects while liaising and collaborating with stakeholders across the Enterprise. What you will do? Ensure the accurate and complete Financial and Regulatory Reporting of Wholesale Finance results, specifically related to Commercial Banking. Oversee the monthly General Ledger (GL) data and financial results, ensuring accuracy, including monitoring of allocations, intergroup activities, reconciliations and reporting templates. Provide meaningful analysis of financial results for external reporting, including MD&A, B/S, P&L, note disclosures, regulatory reporting and supplemental formats. Maintain the monthly review program to ensure financial controls and reconciliations are completed in accordance with global policies and procedures across all stakeholders. Assist in the investigation of all financial and regulatory reporting matters related to the Commercial Banking business in Canada and keep abreast of IFRS developments. Coordinate with Accounting Policy and Front Office on new transactions/entities/issuances/originations and support operational execution and implementation of new accounting standards. Ensure new products and transactions are captured in RBC Financial Reporting Systems with proper GL usage and reporting lines. Maintain SOX and RBC EUC documentation compliance, including new controls and processes. Participate in ad‑hoc projects as directed by the Associate Director, Wholesale Finance. What do you need to succeed? Must Have CPA designation. Knowledge of complex financial instruments and transactions. Technical competence in IFRS 9 and IFRS 15. Detail‑oriented with the ability to handle large data sets. Excellent presentation and report writing skills. Strong team‑building skills and work ethic. Nice to Have Strong knowledge of RBC financial systems. Experience in managing Commercial Banking Products. What’s in it for you?
