Systems Integration Engineer – Mott MacDonald Locations: Vancouver, British Columbia, CA; Toronto, ON, CA; Calgary, AB, CA Contract Type: Permanent; Work Pattern: Full Time; Discipline: Railways; Market: Transport Overview At Mott MacDonald, we trust our brilliant people to do brilliant things in engineering, management, and development services. The Canadian Rail Systems team seeks adaptable and self‑motivated Systems Integration Engineers to support complex rail and transit projects in North America. Responsibilities Identify, analyse and document interfaces within and between systems. Integrate rail systems into overall light rail, urban transit and heavy rail projects. Work within a multi‑disciplinary SESA team. Collaborate with key delivery partners and service providers. Assist in the commissioning and setting to work of rail control systems. Support bid development and construction activities. Interact with and support colleagues across Mott MacDonald. Engage with end clients as necessary. Qualifications P.Eng. in Alberta, BC or Ontario or able to register. Minimum 5 years progressive experience in system integration, preferably in rail and transit or public infrastructure. Experience in developing or deploying complex systems. Experience setting to work of integrated solutions. Experience working with requirements, including development and elicitation. Working knowledge of IEC 15288:2015. INCOSE ASEP certification desirable. Strong communication skills and English fluency. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a multi‑disciplined team. Ability to hold competent technical discussions with client representatives. Ability to interface with domain specialists, design managers and construction project managers. Knowledge of railway systems or operation within infrastructure projects. Broad experience delivering within major infrastructure projects. Personal Values Act as a role model for Mott MacDonald’s vision and values.
