If you're looking for a stable, full-time role with room to grow, this could be the perfect fit.Pay Rate: $60k-$65k/year.Location: Barrie, ONJob type: Permanent | Full-timeResponsibilities:Maintain Financial Records: Post journal entries, manage general ledger accounts, and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.Reconcile and Resolve: Perform regular bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure timely resolution.Process Transactions: Handle accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, payments, and employee expense reports.Support Reporting Cycles: Assist in preparing monthly financial statements, government remittances, and other required reports.Audit Readiness: Support both internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with other departments to ensure financial data is aligned and accurate.Ad Hoc Analysis: Provide financial insights and reporting as needed to support business decisions.Ensure Compliance: Follow established accounting procedures and stay up to date with relevant financial regulations.Requirements:Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.Experience : 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience in a similar roleEducation : Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)Tech-Savvy : Proficient in QuickBooks and Excel; familiarity with Sage 50, MS Dynamics, SAP, or other ERP systems is a definite assetAccounting Know-How : Solid understanding of accounting principles, month-end processes, and financial reportingDetail-Oriented : You have a sharp eye for detail and a methodical approach to problem-solvingSelf-Starter : Comfortable managing your own workload and meeting deadlines with minimal supervisionTeam Player : Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departmentsDon't miss out on this Accounting Specialist position in Barrie, ON.
