Senior Manager, Credit Risk Model Validation

Seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our Model Risk Management Team as a Senior Manager, Model Risk, Credit Risk. Key Responsibilities Validate credit risk models and assess model risk to confirm appropriateness and capability for designated portfolios, providing effective challenge to model development and communicating decisions to business stakeholders. Engage with model developers, owners, and users to influence and advise on model risk management. Recommend business priorities, advise on resource requirements, and develop roadmap for strategic execution; manage resources and lead execution of initiatives. Drive change management programs, including readiness assessments, stakeholder management, and execution. Act as subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies; interpret new regulations and assess impacts on validation framework. Identify technical issues and translate into business considerations. Qualifications Master’s or PhD in quantitative fields such as statistics, applied mathematics, financial mathematics, data science, actuarial sciences, electrical engineering, or related fields. Minimum of 7 years of experience in model development and/or validation within a financial institution, particularly in credit risk. Skills in Python (preferred), R, SAS, and relational databases (SQL/Oracle). Experience with credit risk models: Stress Testing & loss forecasting, AIRB, adjudication/account management. Familiarity with Big Data tools and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Can-do attitude and research mindset. Location and Working Arrangement Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Hybrid schedule – at least 3 days on-site, remaining days remote. Compensation Salary range: $94,600.00 – $176,000.00 (salaried).
