Director, Participating Whole Life Product Management The Director, Participating Whole Life (PWL) Product Management plays a strategic leadership role overseeing the management of all PWL insurance products. Responsibilities include driving product strategy, ensuring profitability, maintaining long‑term sustainability, and executing governance through the PWL Governance Committee. What will you do? Lead the PWL Governance Committee, monitor product performance, oversee dividend processes, and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate requirements. Develop and execute the strategic direction for the PWL product portfolio to achieve profitability goals and conduct performance analysis as needed. Manage day‑to‑day product activities, understand financial drivers, monitor KPIs, and coordinate with stakeholders to address concerns. Ensure product‑related reporting and risk assessment compliance with all regulatory standards. Collaborate with internal and external partners in product development, enablement, pricing, sales, marketing, IT, and digital. Lead and mentor a team of product managers and analysts, fostering a data‑driven, high‑performance culture. What will you need to succeed? 10+ years of progressive experience in life insurance product management, actuarial, or related roles. Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Business, or related field; MBA or FSA designation preferred. Deep understanding of actuarial concepts, participating product mechanics, and dividend scale management. Demonstrated success in profitability management for participating or permanent life products. Proven leadership managing complex product portfolios and cross‑functional teams with strong stakeholder communication skills.
