Software verification Engineer

OverviewCS Group Canada is seeking a Software Verification Engineer to test embedded software on aircraft and space systems (e.g., engine control, flight management systems, display/avionics). The role may evolve to software development.ResponsibilitiesCarry out software testing in accordance with DO-178.Develop and run relevant tests on test platforms to verify design correctness.Debug issues raised during the software development cycle in the engine control software.Ensure traceability between software design and test artefacts.Conduct independent peer reviews on tests produced by team members.Draft final technical documents.Provide clear status and workload updates to the lead.Participate in continuous improvement of team performance (quality, efficiency, on-time delivery).QualificationsBachelor degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Science or equivalent.2-6 years experience in a similar position.Experience with engine control software.Interest in troubleshooting complex software problems.Knowledge of DO-178.Knowledge of C language, and scripting languages like Python.Knowledge of SCADE, Matlab/Simulink or equivalent.Knowledge of testing tools Rational RTRT and/or LDRA.Software tools: Microsoft Office, DOORS, SVN.Basic knowledge in communication protocols such as CAN, ARINC, RS-422, Ethernet.Good communication, interpersonal skills, and being a team player.Curiosity, autonomy, proactivity and ability to find solutions and compromises.BenefitsHybrid workIndustry-leading medical, dental, and vision insuranceAccess to telemedicineRRSP programPersonal and sick daysRecreation room with pool and foosballAll information kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Employment detailsSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Quality AssuranceCS Group Canada values diversity in the workplace and encourages women, visible minorities, ethnic minorities, aboriginal people, and people with disabilities to apply.Get notified about new Software Verification Engineer jobs in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. #J-18808-Ljbffr
