Join our team and help us keep communities connected.Stantec’s Transportation team has an immediate opportunity for an Environmental Planner to join our Hamilton office.Your Key ResponsibilitiesCarrying out the environmental component of multi-disciplinary projectsPreparing environmental documents for all phases of transportation projects from planning through to constructionWorking with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to identify and address issues and permitting requirementsCoordinating public consultation programs, including open houses and project websitesAnalyzing input from multi-disciplinary teams and consultantsInteracting with clients, regulators and stakeholdersWriting reports, proposals and presentationsFollowing quality assurance/quality control, and health and safety requirementsQualificationsRelevant degree in Planning, Environmental Management, Environmental Sciences or Engineering and at least 6 years experienceProfessional designation (e.g., MCIP, RPP) desirableDemonstrated experience as an Environmental Planner on Provincial transportation infrastructure projectsPossess a valid driver's licenseStrong report writing skillsAbility to work in a team environmentSelf‑motivated, with excellent technical writing and interpersonal communication skillsTypical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
