Position SummaryFull‑time Staff Accountant responsible for bookkeeping and accounting services for clients on‑site and off‑site. Must be reliable, adaptable, and efficient. Major Responsibilities Perform bank account, accounts payable, and accounts receivable reconciliations. Prepare T1 and T2 tax returns and compilation engagement files. File external compliance filings such as HST, WSIB, EHT, and source deductions. Complete routine account analysis and bookkeeping assignments following established procedures. Respond to client queries and correct errors identified on personal tax returns. Communicate effectively with clients, government agencies, and team members. Qualifications Minimum 2–5 years of preparing personal and corporate income tax returns. Post‑secondary diploma or certificate in Accounting or Business, or CPA designation in pursuit. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Adobe, Word). Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, CaseWare, and Tax Cycle (or comparable tax software) is an asset. Positive, professional communication with clients and staff. Strong attention to detail, analytic and problem‑solving skills. Ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks, and work deadline‑driven while handling confidential information.
