Join to apply for the Senior Field Service Specialist role at Shermco Industries 10 hours ago Be among the first 25 applicants Overview Shermco Canada is looking for a Senior Field Service Specialist to join our team of leaders in electrical power system testing and commissioning. Shermco has one of the largest field services divisions in the industry with exceptional leadership and ample opportunity. Responsibilities Provide skilled technical assistance, quality service, and advice on technical projects to Shermco clients while maintaining an absolute commitment to safety. Assess technical issues on site and provide clients with recommendations for repairs or upgrades. Assist other technical staff with technical problems, project management, and safety compliance. Manage multiple small jobs by coordinating technical staff, equipment, and resources to ensure quality and policy adherence. Mentor and support junior technical staff, including hands-on site training. Contribute expertise to projects involving transformer testing, relaying protection, metering schemes, switchgear testing/maintenance, power system design, and/or turnkey substations. Qualifications Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology, degree in Electrical Engineering, or PSE designation. 5+ years' experience in electrical testing. NETA certification is an asset. Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking). Valid driver's license with a clean abstract. Willingness to work out-of-town and travel overnight. Other Requirements Excellent organizational, time management, and negotiation skills. Strong leadership qualities. Exceptional technical, analytical, and numerical skills.
