In this role, you’ll report to AVP, Global Sustainability and collaborate with a passionate team of sustainability professionals and cross-functional partners across the organization. If you’re driven by purpose, energized by complexity, and ready to lead in a space where sustainability is both a business imperative and a catalyst for innovation, we’d love to hear from you Position Responsibilities Lead the Sustainability Reporting & Disclosure team, providing coaching and leadership to direct reports. Oversee the production and publication of Manulife’s annual Sustainability Report, Public Accountability Statement, and related disclosures. Maintain governance, contribute to data collection and third‑party assurance for the sustainability reporting process. Manage responses to ESG raters and rankers including MSCI, S&P, Sustainalytics, Corporate Knights, among others. Develop executive‑caliber materials for all levels of Manulife’s sustainability governance structure. Collaborate closely with Legal, Compliance, Government Relations, and other teams to monitor, assess, and comply with sustainability regulatory landscapes across jurisdictions. Drive continuous improvement of internal sustainability reporting by developing policies and overseeing dashboards, frameworks, and tools for analytics. Lead best‑practice research and analysis to support sustainability strategy development. Lead day‑to‑day operations of the Sustainability Centre of Expertise, including setting agendas and materials. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate sustainability considerations into business operations and decision‑making, providing subject‑matter expertise. Stay informed of emerging sustainability policies, regulations, standards, and industry trends, providing strategic guidance on opportunities and challenges. Act as a trusted advisor and collaborator with procurement, investor relations, facilities, finance, legal, marketing, HR, corporate governance, communications, and others to operationalize the sustainability strategy. Required Qualifications Post‑secondary education in a relevant field, ideally sustainability, corporate responsibility or similar. Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate sustainability or related discipline, preferably in the financial sector or consulting. In‑depth knowledge of voluntary frameworks (SASB, GRI) and regulatory frameworks (OSFI B15, ISSB). Experience preparing disclosures and responding to rating agencies such as MSCI, S&P, Sustainalytics, and others. Excellent research, writing and synthesizing skills with the ability to communicate complex information succinctly. Proficiency with the Microsoft suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Strong people skills with ability to build relationships, consensus, and drive change through collaboration. Excellent project management skills.
