Survey Engineer / Technician DOF Subsea Canada is a leading provider of subsea services offering integrated offshore solutions worldwide. We are seeking a detail‑oriented, client‑focused survey engineer/technician to support long‑term international and local projects. The position requires a 4 to 6 week rotation and collaboration with offshore and onshore personnel. Key Responsibilities Install and maintain survey equipment throughout offshore operations. Troubleshoot faulty equipment, provide inventory listings and equipment fault reports. Responsible for the installation and testing of survey equipment and systems and for their maintenance. Set up networks and interface survey sensors to the online system. Familiar with serial data protocols, Ethernet communications and fibre optics. Makes up and terminates all types of cabling for interfacing; antennas, networks, serial data, video, subsea sensors, etc. Manage all survey/ROV interface cables. Notify the Party Chief / Project Manager of any non‑serviceable survey equipment. Commission, calibrate and decommission all survey equipment to the satisfaction of the Offshore Manager/Party Chief. Ensure safe operation of survey equipment and systems. Accountable for offshore tracking of project equipment and for demobilization and shipping of survey equipment. Support the online surveyor during operations. Maintain equipment logs and inventories. Prepare and maintain cabling and interface diagrams. Demonstrate good problem‑solving practices. Communicate, on a daily basis, with the Party Chief. Requirements Key Qualifications and Experience: Post secondary education in electronics or engineering (experience can compensate for lack of formal competency). Experience within offshore oil & gas or renewables industry is an asset. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document control systems. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Benefits Successful candidates will be required to undergo pre‑employment drug and alcohol screening.
