Job Description The Maintenance Superintendent oversees maintenance programs across multiple remote camp facilities in Manitoba, Ontario, and Nunavut. The role ensures that all camp infrastructure, systems, and equipment are maintained to operational and regulatory standards through consistent implementation of the company’s IMTR plan. Key responsibilities include leadership in planning, budgeting, and documenting maintenance activities while training and supporting on‑site maintenance personnel. Key Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate all maintenance activities for multiple remote camp sites, ensuring full compliance with the company’s IMTR plan. Develop and manage preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual requirements. Provide technical support and leadership to site‑based maintenance teams; ensure safe work practices and effective troubleshooting of systems and equipment. Supervise, mentor, and train on‑site maintenance personnel to ensure consistent performance and adherence to standards. Participate in the development and reconciliation of the maintenance labour and materials operating budget for all maintenance requirements. Monitor asset condition and identify potential risks or deficiencies before they impact operations. Coordinate and oversee trades and subcontractor activities, ensuring timely reporting and performance tracking. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and provincial regulations, safety codes, and standards for development and occupancy permits, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, building, fire, and OH&S. Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation for all maintenance, inspection, testing, and repair activities. Contribute to updates and improvements to the IMTR program across the region. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with partners, clients, vendors, and sub‑contractors to achieve assigned goals. Support capital planning and lifecycle replacement of infrastructure and equipment. Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and accountability across all maintenance operations. Working Conditions Field‑based work in remote camp environments in ON, MB, and NU. Extended periods in fly‑in/fly‑out settings. Exposure to varied weather conditions and working environments. Accommodation and meals provided during travel. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance leadership or superintendent‑level role, preferably in remote or industrial camp environments. Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical infrastructure. Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and recordkeeping. Valid trade certification (Electrical, Millwright, Plumbing, HVAC) is an asset. Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple sites and priorities. Excellent communication, coaching, and reporting skills. Willingness to travel and work on rotational schedules in remote northern environments. Benefits Competitive health and dental benefits.
