Solutions Architect Location: Toronto, ON Role: Focus on Digital Native customers across data engineering, data science, and machine learning. Responsibilities Partner with sales to provide technical leadership and enable customers to understand how Databricks solves business problems. Consult on big data architectures and implement proofs of concept spanning data engineering, data science, machine learning, and SQL analysis workflows. Validate integrations with cloud services, home‑grown tools, and third‑party applications. Collaborate with fellow Solutions Architects to support each other and users. Become an expert in, promote, and recruit contributors for open‑source projects (Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow) across the developer community. Qualifications 5+ years in data engineering, data science, technical architecture, or similar pre‑sales/consulting role. Experience building distributed data systems. Comfortable programming in Python and SQL and debugging those. Built solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Expertise in one of the following: Data engineering technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) Data science/ML technologies (pandas, scikit‑learn, pytorch, Tensorflow) Available to travel to customers in the region. Desired: Degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research). Nice to have: Databricks Certification. Pay Range (Canada) $160,500 — $224,700 CAD.
