OverviewSelect People Solutions is pleased to be working with the Aboriginal Housing Society as they search for a Executive Director to lead their organization through different initiatives, projects, and team building. Aboriginal Housing Society is a rapid growing organization that works within the community to assist any person of Aboriginal heritage with the opportunity to obtain and maintain suitable housing. They remove barriers and provide programming to help individuals gain independence and work towards personal growth and home ownership. What’s in it for You?Make a tangible difference working within your communityCollaborate with a governance board and supportive teamBe a driver of transformation, take a lead role in shaping how the organization will adapt, evolve, and thrive through growth Compensation & HoursMonday-Friday, some evenings and weekends will be required for troubleshooting and community events as neededBased in-office in Lethbridge, ABOccasional travel for conferences, events, and government meetings Position SummaryOversee daily operations and long-term strategies across multiple properties and unitsLead hiring, HR functions, and staff development, ensuring a strong team dynamicReport to and collaborate with a governance board to develop reports, budgets, and overall organizational visionManage organizational finances, budgets, and funding oversightCreate and implement policies and proceduresOrganize community functions and engagement opportunitiesTrack project performance and provide final reporting/wrap-upPresent reports for organizational finance, team development, budgets, and initiative outcomesWork collaboratively with different Indigenous organizations, governments, and other non-profits for projects, initiatives, and grantsOperate across multiple domains, balancing strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, training, and communication on an organization wide scale Required Qualifications5+ years of experience in a senior leadership roleKnowledge of housing legislation, tenancy laws, and complianceFamiliarity with culturally responsible and inclusive service deliveryProven leadership skills, including the ability to lead with clarity and confidenceStrong human resources and financial acumenSkilled in change management and implementing organizational transformation Bonus Points ForExperience reporting to a governance boardExperience managing affordable/subsidized housing programsNon-profit experience Right People.
