The position works in a multidisciplinary environment on projects with sustainability mandates and low-impact development strategies.Role contextThis role sits within Arcadis’ global business area Places. We work with clients worldwide to create, support, and enhance smart, safe and sustainable places where people live, work, learn and thrive.Role accountabilitiesPerform hydrological and hydraulic modelling, including data collection, design review, model setup and calibration, and system assessmentSupport the development of stormwater servicing plansDevelop rainwater source control LID concepts and assist in LID designsProvide technical analysis in support of Civil engineering design for municipal or rural stormwater systems and stormwater management facilitiesProvide quality control and peer review on colleagues' projectsCoordinate with CAD design technologists to prepare designs following quality proceduresCoordinate with project managers on site design, budget, scheduling, proposals and related technical documentsDevelop and maintain positive client, subconsultant, and approving authority relationshipsQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related fieldRegistration as a professional engineer (P.Eng.) or EIT with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA)Minimum of 3 years of experience in assessment, modeling, and detailed design of stormwater systems; experience in general municipal engineering, transportation, or community development projects is preferredExperience in infrastructure master planning, flood management, or river modelling is an assetExcellent organizational, communication, and technical writing skillsStrong software skills: PCSWMM, XPSWMM, HEC-RAS, SWMMYMO, Civil 3D, and Excel/Word/BluebeamWhy Arcadis?We empower our people to be their best and support a skills-based approach to career growth.
