National Sales Manager - 70000290 Location: Daiichi Sankyo Europe GmbH, Canada Posting Start Date: 07/11/2025 Job Description The National Sales Manager (NSM) leads, coaches, and develops a national team of oncology key account managers (KAMs) within Canada, driving successful implementation of national brand strategies, sales performance, compliance, and strong customer relationships. Roles and Responsibilities Team Leadership & Coaching: recruit, train, mentor, and performance‑manage a team of oncology KAMs; conduct regular in‑person field visits with coaching and guidance; foster a high‑performance sales culture. Sales Strategy Execution: translate national and regional strategies into local action plans; support development of account business plans, monitor and analyze performance metrics, and use data analytics for customer segmentation. Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: build relationships with oncologists, pharmacists, nurses, and other health professionals; support KAMs in identifying opportunities. Cross‑Functional Collaboration: collaborate with marketing, medical affairs, market access, and other functions to ensure integrated customer engagement and align brand strategies. Compliance & Reporting: ensure activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements; complete and submit reports, forecasts, and expense documentation; manage operational budgets. Strategic Analysis: monitor market trends, competitive landscapes, and reimbursement pathways; analyze sales data and translate insights into actionable recommendations; partner with BI/Analytics teams to design dashboards. Education & Experience University Degree in Life Science or related field; an advanced degree (MBA, M.Sc.) is an asset. 5–8 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior representative role in oncology. Key Skills and Requirements Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a matrix environment. Strong analytical, coaching, and communication skills. Valid driver’s license; willing to travel extensively across Canada (up to 80% field time). Experience managing specialty care, hospital, or biologics portfolios, especially in oncology. Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Veeva, Omnipresence). Familiarity with Canadian pharmaceutical market dynamics and reimbursement pathways. Demonstrated success in product launches, especially in oncology. Proficiency in data analysis and strategic planning. Bilingual (French and English) communication skills is an asset. Strong planning, organization, problem‑solving, decision‑making, and negotiating skills. Results‑driven and customer‑focused mindset.
