The Opportunity As a Senior Ultrasound Transducer Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our R&D and manufacturing operations, focusing on the development and production of ultrasound transducers. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and optimization of ultrasound transducer manufacturing processes. Assemble and build transducer prototypes in initial feasibility and R&D project phases. Generate technical documentation (i.e., drawings, assembly instructions, etc.). Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including R&D, Quality Assurance, and Production to ensure seamless integration of new products into manufacturing. Conduct thorough troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve complex manufacturing issues related to transducer performance and reliability throughout the production lifecycle. Develop and implement robust testing methodologies and quality control measures to ensure product reliability and performance. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality. Maintain records and files of all completed engineering work. Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians to foster a culture of innovation and excellence. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience in ultrasound transducer design, assembly, and manufacturing within a medical device or similar regulated industry. Proven track record of successfully leading projects from concept to production. Demonstrated proficiency in assembly techniques such as material bonding, dicing, and interconnection processes. Operational understanding of common bench test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, function generators, network analyzers). Expertise in SolidWorks CAD software. Proficient in MATLAB. Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) for precise engineering design and manufacturing. Knowledge of manufacturing techniques such as machining, injection molding, and additive manufacturing. Proficiency in using measurement tools and equipment for precision measurement and quality control. Understanding of material science principles relevant to ultrasound transducer materials and their properties.
