Base pay range CA$105,000.00/yr - CA$135,000.00/yr The Revenue Manager will serve as the subject matter expert for the Canadian division of a leading global corporation, overseeing all aspects of revenue accounting and control. This pivotal management role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and operational excellence to ensure compliance and accuracy across all revenue streams. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the Canadian Revenue Team, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all monthly and quarterly revenue-related tasks. Oversee and review the timely preparation of monthly revenue journals and balance sheet reconciliations, including associated royalties and rebates. Manage the monthly review of revenues, cash collection, and bad debt. Oversee the timely preparation of month-end revenue reports, commentaries, and variance analysis. Direct the quarterly contract review process and provide support for customer and contract opportunities. Provide technical expertise and oversight on complex revenue recognition matters, ensuring strict compliance with ASC 606 and IFRS 15 standards. Research complex accounting issues, providing recommendations that adhere to generally accepted accounting principles and corporate compliance. Timely elevate and resolve all unresolved revenue recognition issues. Ensure observance of all corporate revenue standards for finance and control areas, including compliance with SOX requirements. Act as the primary liaison with internal and external auditors as required. Mentor, coach, and develop the Revenue Team. Support the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team in revenue, rebates, and royalties budgeting and forecasting. Conduct regular revenue recognition policies and procedures training sessions for sales and finance teams. Drive ad-hoc projects focused on simplifying and automating the month-end revenue closing process. Required Experience and Qualifications 7+ years of progressive experience in the accounting field, with at least 2 years of management experience. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required. Public accounting and audit experience are required (e.g., experience with a Big 4 or large audit firm). Demonstrated expertise in applying ASC 606 and IFRS 15 revenue recognition standards. Required experience with SOX control environments. Strong technical accounting skills, including revenue accounting and complex contract review. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Desirable Skills and Experience Experience working for a global corporation. Knowledge of US GAAP accounting. Experience with Oracle Financials and Hyperion Financial Management.
