Consultant, Business Intelligence Apply for the Consultant, Business Intelligence role at CIBC. What You’ll Be Doing The CIBC Infrastructure Team focuses on the needs of our clients and business partners, delivering centralized operational services through strategic pillars of Run, Protect, Transform. As a Consultant, Business Intelligence team member you will design and carry out the development of infrastructure service‑related business intelligence reporting, leveraging a wide variety of tools connected to multiple data sources. The incumbent will assist in the resolution of routine and non‑routine operational problems by investigating, analyzing and providing an informed and independent opinion or recommendation on opportunities to optimize business intelligence for the benefit of our clients, employees, and shareholders. Work location: Toronto – 81 Bay, 27th Floor. Remote work is possible; occasional on‑site (1–2 days per month) may be required. How You’ll Succeed Problem Solving – Use critical thinking and Lean Six Sigma methodology to find innovative approaches. Reporting, Analytics, and Automation – Design, develop, and enhance self‑serve reports, dashboards, and BI solutions using Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Python, Azure DevOps, and Microsoft Power Platform. Business Analysis & Project Delivery – Understand and analyse requirements, identify challenges, and develop data‑driven solutions. Relationship Management – Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and service leaders. Who You Are Experience with a process mindset, data analysis, BI tools (Alteryx, Cognos, Tableau), data warehouses, and automation tools (VBA, SAS, SQL, Databricks). Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills with a proven ability to independently identify and analyze business problems. You act like an owner – understand business & process requirements and lead end‑to‑end projects. You embrace and champion change and continuously evolve your thinking to deliver quality results. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics or related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx) are an asset.
