BMCC's membership is open to all. Volunteer Opportunity Details Volunteer Opportunity ID: 6107 Key Responsibilities Develop and publish social media content (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok). Assist with digital campaigns promoting events, programs, and member businesses. Create basic graphics or promotional materials using tools like Canva. Update website content (no coding required). Support email marketing and newsletters. Track engagement metrics and share insights with the team. Help shape BMCC's online voice through culturally relevant storytelling. Technical Skills Proficiency with major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, TikTok). Experience with email marketing tools (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, CRM systems). Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, and digital advertising platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads). Basic graphic design ability (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite an asset). Ability to update and manage websites (WordPress, CRM). Skills & Qualifications Required Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong understanding of culturally responsive digital content. Creativity with a strong eye for detail and design. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Experience with social media content creation and posting. Familiarity with platforms like Canva, Mailchimp, or similar tools. Interest in marketing, graphic design, communications, business, or community development. Understanding of or connection to Manitoba's business community is an asset but NOT required. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. Commitment to BMCC's mission of economic empowerment and community uplift. Creativity, reliability, and ability to meet deadlines. Skills Gained/Related Careers Experience developing real-world digital marketing content. Portfolio-building opportunities (graphics, campaigns, newsletters, etc.).
