NOW IS THE TIME to join this growing and stable company.OverviewWe are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Roofing Technician, to work out of our office in Vancouver.This position is responsible for specifications, investigations and management of multiple roofing projects involving varying scopes and complexity. Extensive roofing experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as experience with client relations and developing proposals.In return for your talent and effort, Rimkus offers a dynamic organization with a competitive salary and benefits package, flexible work schedule and opportunities for advancement.Responsibilities:Coordinate the preparation of CAD drawingsPreparation of design tender documentsPreparation of technical specifications for roofing remediation projectsDirect the collecting of field data required for the preparation of repair specifications, drawings and tenderingReviewing shop drawingsAssisting with the compilation of both field and report data in order to prepare specification documents and drawingsReviewing drawings and specifications to verify that the scope of work is sufficient and to ensure that all required details, materials, methods, etc. are correctly specifiedContract administrationPrepare design briefs for Client approvalWind uplift calculationsPrepare condition reportsCoordinate and attend project meetingsCoordinate interdepartmental design requirementsSchedule mockups and field testingMonitor Client scope and document changes as neededQualifications:Completion of a post-secondary degree/diploma in an Engineering or Architectural Technology program (or another related field)Minimum of 4 years’ roofing working experienceExperience with specifying roofing systemsExperience carrying out project management functions with a focus on roofing remediation projectsMust possess the ability to read Architectural BlueprintsGeneral construction knowledge (i.e. how buildings go together)Exceptional attention to detail, specifically in accuracy of calculations and completeness of data collection and notationGood oral and written English communication skillsDemonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing prioritiesSelf-motivating and multi-tasking abilityAble to work individually and in a team settingThe Salary Range for this position is $62,200 - $93,400 and is dependent on education, experience, location and certifications/licensure.At Rimkus, we value a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued and respected.
